Texture sheets

One of the wonderful things about polymer clay is its ability to take on texture. You don’t have to use the texture on the whole piece, in fact it can look better when a textured piece is paired with a plain sanded polymer piece or when different textures are used together. You can purchase beautiful texture plates online, but you can also find many items to texture your clay in and around your home. Think of items like lace, shells, pebbles, seed pods, leaves, twigs, pasta, lids and caps, fruit netting, small wicker baskets, avocado skins, jewellery charms and so on.

Go ahead and try it! Texture is everywhere!

Moulds

Moulds are a consistent and fun way to create jewellery components and charms. They can also be used to make 3D components for craft projects or sculpting scenes with clay. These silicone moulds can be used both with polymer clay and with resin and are flexible and easy to use.

You can lightly dust them with cornstarch or baby powder to prevent them from sticking before use.
