The story of Little White Wave
Hi, I’m Jenny and I love polymer clay!
I live on the pristine east coast of Tasmania opposite beautiful Maria Island. The beaches here have white sand, clear aqua water, and magical views.
I’m a total homebody and feel very happy and privileged to work from home and walk on the beach each day with my Toy Poodles Chico & Pearl.
I live with my husband who is both my partner in life and in my polymer clay business and like me, is also a total homebody. We live with our loved animal children and near to our dear family and true friends.
My life has been an adventure but has moved way too fast. I’ve always had trouble maintaining balance in my life, but I feel this is the time to move into a creative space as my final career, and hopefully I can help others find joy and balance through creating and expressing themselves with this wonderful medium.
My beautiful mother & father who have sadly now ‘gone to sleep’ named me Jennifer which means ‘Little White Wave’ and thus the name of this shop.
Welcome to my store… Little White Wave… come and visit whenever you like.
about the business
It’s the ultimate way for me to combine my love of creating with my day job. I would never be clever enough or fast enough to make a living from my jewellery and I admire those who work so tirelessly to do so. I know this takes a great deal of commitment and sacrifice. Little White Wave is my way of creating a sustainable business while also allowing me the time to make things at my own pace.
At times I have been disappointed with supplies I’ve purchased online, so I decided to set up a store that supplies only components that I have tried myself and would be proud to use. I don’t intend to supply every single item that can be used in polymer clay jewellery as I want to focus on quality over quantity. At Little White Wave you’ll find just the beautiful basics so you can be creative and use high quality, tried and true components at a reasonable price.
The polymer clay community is a supportive one with sharing and encouragement common among artists. The brilliant tutorials online both free and for sale are a great source of inspiration. This is how I have learnt and I’m grateful that others are so generous sharing their passion and time to help others learn and enjoy this craft.
